Port Agency Services
Full, protective and husbandry agency at every Egyptian port, run from one Suez desk.
June Shipping Agency has handled vessel calls at Suez, Port Said, Alexandria, Damietta, Ain Sokhna and the Red Sea ports since 2004. We act as your full agent for the cargo call, as the owner's protective agent watching a charterer's appointed agent, or as your husbandry agent for crew and stores. Every call is reconciled against the proforma account you approved before the vessel arrived.
Key Features
What this service includes
Full Agency (Owner's or Charterer's)
We accept appointment from the owner or charterer for the cargo call, confirm the agency in writing, and complete sanctions, KYC and anti-bribery checks before the vessel is on its way to the port.
Protective Agency for Owners
When the charterer appoints another agent, we represent the owner's interest in parallel. We monitor that agent's handling and disbursements at the port and report anything that touches owner money before it becomes a dispute.
Authority Formalities and Clearance
Notice of Readiness, inward and outward clearance, free pratique, manifests and port clearance, with customs, immigration and port health handled directly at the filing windows each Egyptian port requires.
Berth, Pilot, Tug and Cargo Coordination
We secure berth allocation, order pilotage, tugs and mooring boats, and stand by the cargo operation: stevedore and terminal coordination, laytime monitoring, draught surveys and hatch or tank readiness for bulk, project, tanker and box calls.
Husbandry, Crew and Stores
Crew changes through Cairo, Hurghada and Borg El Arab airports with OK-to-board and shore passes, spares and provisions cleared through Egyptian customs, fresh water, bunker supervision, cash to Master and medical assistance for the crew.
Disbursement Accounts and Statement of Facts
A proforma disbursement account (PDA) before arrival so funds are in place, a Statement of Facts on departure, and a final disbursement account (FDA) backed by every supplier invoice. You can see what each charge was for and where it came from.
Our Process
Our process, step by step
- 1
Appointment and Proforma
You nominate June. We confirm the agency, complete the compliance checks, request the vessel particulars, and issue the PDA so funds are in place before the vessel reaches the port.
- 2
Pre-arrival Coordination
We file the arrival notices to the authorities, book berth, pilot, tugs and mooring, pre-clear customs, immigration and port health, and line up crew change, spares, bunkers and cash to Master ahead of the vessel.
- 3
Arrival and Port Operations
Boarding on arrival, free pratique and inward clearance, NOR tendered, pilot and tugs coordinated to the berth. Through the stay we supervise cargo and husbandry, watch laytime, and keep the owner reported.
- 4
Departure and Reconciliation
Outward formalities, port clearance and sailing, then the Statement of Facts and the FDA with backup invoices. The difference against the proforma is invoiced or refunded.
Why Choose Our Service
Less Time Alongside
Berth, pilot and tugs booked in advance and formalities pre-cleared keep the vessel moving, which holds down port-stay days and the demurrage that comes with them.
Cost You Can Audit
Every charge runs through the proforma you approved and a final account backed by invoices. You pay the port costs as they were incurred, with nothing buried in a round figure.
One Desk, Local Standing
One agent coordinates the authorities, terminal, suppliers and crew logistics. Our standing with Egyptian port authorities and the Suez Canal Authority means a problem reaches the right person early.
Compliance Built In
Sanctions, KYC and anti-bribery screening on the appointment, correct authority filings, and MARPOL waste handling verified before sailing. That keeps fines, detentions and avoidable delays off the call.
