The Ain Sokhna Product Hub is a strategic marine terminal built for the Arab Petroleum Pipelines Company (SUMED) on the Gulf of Suez, adding dedicated berths for LNG, LPG and fuel oil to SUMED's existing crude-oil terminal and reinforcing Egypt's energy import and distribution network. Delivered by the Orascom–BESIX joint venture under a ~€90.6 million EPC contract, the scheme centred on a three-kilometre, F-shaped piled jetty founded on 420 bored piles, and reached completion in 2017 — with provisional acceptance achieved ahead of schedule and the first LNG operations beginning in May 2017, all while the adjacent terminal remained in live regasification service.

June Shipping Agency acted as the port and shipping agent throughout the project. Our team delivered the full agency scope — local representation before the port, customs and government authorities; crew and project-staff sign-on and sign-off with all associated permits and visas; parcel, ship-spares and document deliveries; and vessel clearance, husbandry and customs coordination for the equipment, barges and construction materials mobilised to site. By keeping every vessel call, crew change and delivery moving on schedule from mobilisation through to commissioning, we helped one of Egypt's most important energy terminals reach operational status smoothly and on time.
